9-(4-(cyclohexoxy) phenyl) -7-methyl-3, 4-dihydropyrazine [2, 1-c][1,2,4] thiadiazine-2, 2-dioxide is a novel AMPA receptor-positive allosteric modulator. Osavampator selectively binds to AMPA-R in a glutamate-dependent manner, inducing Ca2+ influx in hGluA1iCHO cells (EC50=3.3μM). Osavampator enhances learning and memory capabilities in many models. Osavampator is currently under development for the treatment of depression. |
